I FINALLY finished Romeo and Jueliet thank god omg.
Why is it, everytime im like 1/4 or 2/5 threw a book i find another book or im reminded of another book i really want to read. I PROMISE I WILL READ PRIDE AND PREDJUICE AT SOME POINT PLEASE!!!
Am I the only person that feels like the more they read Shakespeare, the more they dont understand? is't just me who is't doth feel this way?
Also, I came to the conclusion that in order to keep my sanity for this semester, I need to keep reading books that i want to and not just Shakespeare. So for now the book i choose is H.G. Wells' War of The Worlds.
"O, she doth teach the torches to burn bright! It seems she hangs upon the cheek of night as a rich jewel in an Ethipo's ear-beauty too rich for use, for Earth too dear. So shows a snowy dove trooping with crows as yonder lady o'er her fellows shows. The measure done, Ill watch her place of stand and touching hers, make bleesed my rude hand. Did my heart love till now? Forswear it, sight, for i ne'er saw true beauty till this night." Act 1 Scene 5 Page 53
Genuinely what, like 20 mins ago you were talking about another girl, Romeo what are you talking about?
those last lines though im not gonna lie is a bar i might be taking those. 'Did my heart love till now? Forswear it, sight, for i ne'er saw true beauty till this night.' btw hes saing "if my heart has ever love till now, then forget about it. Becasue till tonight i have never saw true beauty." In the context of the book its just silly.
